Hi Jackie! CIM:). I eventually turned the corner when I stopped XTing and focused on walking as my XT. I also did the below exercises to strengthen the tendon. I gradually introduced running and learned what pain was acceptable (level 3 that resolves in 48 hours) & what wasn’t. Also got a massage on it every week for a month. (My body responds to soft tissue work better than needling, cupping). But strength training was KEY. Happy to answer specific questions via email!!

Which one are you training for!? So happy to hear youre back in action – especially from the days when it felt like you’d never run pain free again. I would love to hear what has worked for you – and what your journey back has been like!

Hi Jackie! I am so so sorry to hear you are dealing with this! I should probably update this post…YES, I am all good now and hamstrings are stronger than ever. I am back in marathon training mode, ramping up intensity and volume with no pain at all! It is possible!

Thank you for your touching story, and all your experience & knowledge about injury. I got a misterious injury in my knee area while preparing a race. It took me more than 2 month to recover to 90%, and I only have 8 weeks to build up mileages and my goal is just finish the race safely. Thanks again for all your articels.
